Abstract

This study analyzes the effects of competence, qualifications, leadership, work discipline, and work motivation, either individually or collectively, on employee performance. The research was conducted at the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Civil Service Agency office, and primary data was collected through a questionnaire administered to 85 respondents. The study consists of 5 independent variables, namely competence (X₁), qualifications (X₂), leadership (X₃), work discipline (X₄), and work motivation (X₅), with employee performance (Y) as the dependent variable. The study uses quantitative research methods that involved descriptive analysis and inferential analysis The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 16.0. Based on the response data from 85 respondents descriptively the average achievement indicator variable competency (X₁) is 89%, qualification variable (X₂) is 88%, leadership variable (X₃) is 89%, work discipline variable (X₄) is 88% and work motivation variable (X₅) of 87% and performance variable (Y) of 88%. The results of the hypothesis test indicated that the t-values for the competency variable (3.536), qualification ((2.008), leadership (2.032), work discipline (2.441), and work motivation (9.281) were significant at 0.001, 0.048, 0.046, 0.017, and 0.003 < 0.05, respectively. The calculated F-value for the five independent variables was 93.071, with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This means that the five hypotheses in this study were accepted, both individually and collectively. The R2 test results of the regression analysis indicated that the variables of competence, qualifications, leadership, work discipline, and work motivation explained 85.50% of the dependent variable of employee performance, while the remaining 14.50% was explained by other variables.
