Abstract

This research is entitled The Role of Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) Ina Huk in Optimizing the Development of Sulamanda Beach Tourism, Mata Air Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency. The formulation of the problem in writing this research is What is the Role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) Ina Huk in Optimizing the Development of Sulamanda Beach Tourism, Mata Air Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency. The theory used by researchers in solving research problems is tourism and Bumdes development. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Primary data sources are informants while secondary data are documents related to research variables. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis stage was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing stage and then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The research results show that (1). The development of nature-based (maritime) and cultural tourism attractions carried out by Bumdes Ina Huk at Sulamanda Beach in the form of planting raw trees, fishing activities, manufacture and sale of queen woven fabrics and loro sae fabrics. Local culinary development carried out by Bumdes Ina Huk in the form of selling honey coconut ice, corn on the cob and lawar shells (2) Accessibility development in the form of access roads to Sulamanda beach is not yet feasible in supporting the development of Sulamanda beach tourism where access roads are very badly damaged. Damage to the road certainly hinders tourist activity towards Sulamanda beach even though there have been provision of direction signs (3) Development of amenities in the form of providing comfort and satisfaction to tourists visiting Sulamanda beach in the form of repairing facilities damaged by the Seroja storm such as sale lopo, shelter lopo, waserba , karoke place, toilet, and bathroom. Based on the results of the analysis above, the authors conclude that the development of Sulamanda Beach Tourism by Ina Huk's Village Owned Enterprise (BUMDES) has been going well in the form of developing attractions, accessibility and amenities
