Abstract

Thesis title: The Effect of Learning Motivation on the Learning Activities of Class VIII A Students of SMP Negeri 1 Ende Selatan, Ende Regency for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The problem of this study is whether there is an influence of learning motivation on the learning activities of grade VIII A students of SMP Negeri 1 Ende Selatan for the 2022/2023 academic year?. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of learning motivation on the learning activities of grade VIII A students of SMP Negeri 1 Ende Selatan for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research uses quantitative descriptive methods and data collection tools in the form of questionnaires. The sample of this study was 25 students of grade VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Ende Selatan for the 2022/2023 academic year. The data analysis technique uses simple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis of research data showed that from the results of simple linear regression statistical calculations, tcalculate = 6.819 > ttable = 2.068 and significance values of 0.000 < 0.05, with the conclusion that learning motivation has a significant effect on the learning activities of grade VIII A students of SMP Negeri 1 Ende Selatan for the 2022/2023 academic year. Based on the results of the analysis of the research data above, the researcher proposed suggestions to: 1) The principal as the person in charge of the school is expected to increase his role as a leader and coordinator so that he can coordinate all school personnel to jointly help students who experience learning motivation problems. 2) BK teachers are expected to increase their role as mentors and increase cooperation with all subject teachers in order to jointly strive to increase student learning motivation, because by increasing student learning motivation, student learning activities will also be better. 3) Students are expected to be able to motivate themselves in learning, and are also expected to be able to learn more actively, so that the learning process carried out will be more meaningful. 4) For future researchers who have permission to do research with the same problem, this can be helpful. this thesis as an addition to the research.
