Abstract

Dance Ro'a Mu'u is Wrong One the dance being danced special in Kawit ritual ceremony Gete on public in Village Meken Detung , District Kangae , District Sikka , East Nusa Tenggara Province . Dance This only Can danced by parent And experienced young people . Dance This No own pattern regular floor _ but own pattern movement that has meaningful separately . As for formulation problem in study this , (1) how form presentation dance Ro'a Mu'u in Kawit ritual ceremony Gete in Village Mekeng Detun , (2) what meaning dance Ro'a Mu'u in Kawit ritual ceremony Gete in Village Mekeng Detun . Objective study This is ( 1) for know And describe form presentation dance Ro'a Mu'u in Kawit ritual ceremony Gete in Village Mekeng Detun , (2) for know meaning And describe dance Ro'a Mu'u in Kawit ritual ceremony Gete in Village Mekeng Detun . Method used _ is ethnography with approach descriptive quality . How to getting the data done through studies References And studies field through observation , interview And documentation ,results study This show that presentation dance Ro'a Mu'u This there are 3 stages that is ; (1) stages preparation dance Ro'a M'u ' u , stages This involve party family Woman prepare 2 trees banana kepok ( Ba Ina ) and party family man prepare 2 people dancer man from family Father ( Ata Ama ) and Mama ( Ata Pulame ), (2) stages core dance Ro'a Mu'u , on stages This dancer start cut from leaf banana until with on bunch banana , (3) stages closing dance Ro'a Mu'u , that is be marked with dancer man lift machete And bunch banana in lift by party family man . As for existing meaning _ in dance Ro'a Mu'u This is (1) meaning struggle , that is symbolized with movement dancer man _ start cut leaf banana until on movement dancer cutting bunch banana (2) meaning sacredness, meaning chastity This symbolized with tree banana in ceremony Kawit Gete, (3) meaning fertility, meaning fertility This be marked with fruitful banana _ thick, deep matter This bride woman will give birth to Lots child And continue descendants.
