Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of mathematical problems of junior high school students in terms of self-efficacy. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were 2 grade VII students of SMP N 20 Kupang City who had high self-efficacy. Data collection was conducted through self-efficacy questionnaires, problem-solving tests, interviews and triangulation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Indicators of problem solving in this study are understanding the problem, making a problem-solving plan, implementing the problem-solving plan, and re-examining the problemsolving. The results showed that 2 students with high self-efficacy were able to do the questions well so that they met the four indicators. Thus, it is expected that in the implementation of classroom learning, teachers continue to pay attention to students so that students continue to increase their self-efficacy.
