Abstract

Research Title: "The Influence of School Principal Leadership, Teacher Work Climate, Teacher Emotional Intelligence, and Teacher Work Commitment on Teacher Job Satisfaction at SMPN 5 Kupang." By Damita Limbu / Student ID 811211011. Supervisor 1 Dr. Samuel Igo, M.Pd.; Supervisor 2 Dr. Ruminah, MM. This research aims to analyze the influence of School Principal Leadership, Teacher Work Climate, Teacher Emotional Intelligence, and Teacher Work Commitment on Teacher Job Satisfaction at SMPN 5 Kupang. Statistical testing methods, assisted by SPSS for Windows software, were utilized to analyze the acquired data, with a significance level set at 0.05. The results of the statistical analysis for the variables are as follows. 1) The average achievement of indicators for School Principal Leadership, Teacher Work Climate, Teacher Emotional Intelligence, Teacher Work Commitment, and Teacher Job Satisfaction reached 86.72%, falling within the category of "Very Good."; 2) The Influence of School Principal Leadership (X1) on Teacher Performance (Y): The statistical test results show a significance value of 0.027 < 0.05. Thus, the hypothesis that "school principal leadership significantly influences Teacher Job Satisfaction at SMPN 5 Kupang" is accepted; 3) The Influence of Teacher Work Climate (X2) on Teacher Job Satisfaction (Y): The statistical test results show a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. Therefore, the hypothesis that "teacher work climate significantly influences Teacher Job Satisfaction at SMPN 5 Kupang" is accepted.; 4) The Influence of Teacher Emotional Intelligence (X3) on Teacher Job Satisfaction (Y): The statistical test results show a significance value of 0.010 < 0.05. Hence, the hypothesis that "teacher emotional intelligence significantly influences Teacher Job Satisfaction at SMPN 5 Kupang" is accepted; 5) The Influence of Teacher Work Commitment (X4) on Teacher Job Satisfaction (Y): The statistical test results show a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. Therefore, the hypothesis that "Teacher Work Commitment significantly influences Teacher Job Satisfaction at SMPN 5 Kupang" is accepted; 6) The regression analysis results in the model Ŷ = 9.606 + 0.310 X1 + 0.220 X2 + 0.282 X3 + 0.625X4 + e.; 7) The influence of school principal leadership (X1), teacher work climate (X2), teacher emotional intelligence (X3), and teacher work commitment (X4) is 0.00 < 0.05.This research provides essential insights into understanding the factors influencing teacher job satisfaction, supporting decision-making at the school level, and formulating more effective education policies.
