Abstract

In playing the pianica musical instrument, especially in ensemble learning, the thing that must be considered is basic knowledge. This knowledge is good through learning, experience, habits and skills. However, the situation that occurred at SMPN Satap Rangkang Kalo was that the basic ability of students in playing musical instruments was quite large. Judging from their perseverance, willingness and enthusiasm in learning to play the pianica musical instrument, the teacher tried to provide simple song lyrics and asked students to play the song using the pianica musical instrument. In the end, the teacher assessed that the talents and skills possessed by students must be improved through good practice and guidance. The formulation of the problem in this study is, How is the process of learning pianica ensemble with the Cai Bombang song model for students of Class VII of SMPN Satap Rangkang Kalo, Rahong Utara District, Manggarai Regency," and "What are the obstacles and ways to overcome the difficulties experienced by students in learning pianica ensemble with the Cai Bombang song model for students of class VII of SMPN Satap Rangkang Kalo, Rahong Utara District, Manggarai Regency". The objectives of this study are: - To find out and describe how the application of a similar Ensemble on the pianica musical instrument is carried out for students of class VII of SMPN Satap Rangkang Kalo, Rahong Utara District, Manggarai Regency. - To find out and overcome the obstacles experienced by students in the Ensemble practice process. The method used in this study is field action research in the form of a descriptive method. The researcher chose a descriptive qualitative method to describe the learning of Pianica Ensemble for students of class VII of SMPN Satap Rangkang Kalo, Rahong Utara District, Manggarai Regency. The results of this study are that students can play the Cai Bombang song in the form of an ensemble on the pianica instrument well according to what the researcher expected. After going through all the problems and obstacles encountered by the researcher during the practice process, the students were finally able to play the pianica ensemble well. Based on the result of this study, the author concludes that one of the learning models that is useful for the research process is the comparison method and the imitation and drill method. It is said that the use of imitation, drill, and comparison methods is appropriate because the development of each student can be detailed through imitation, repeated practice, and then comparison. This is evidenced by both student responses to the application of learning and the results obtained by researchers during the training process.
