Abstract
Redesign of the Regent's office is a workspace transformation process that aims to improve efficiency, functionality and representation of government institutions at the district level. This research explores the main factors that need to be considered in redesigning the Regent's office, such as aesthetics, ergonomics, security and information technology aspects. Research methods include quantitative and qualitative methods, case studies of several Regent's offices that have undergone a redesign process, as well as literature reviews regarding modern office space design. The research results show that a government needs quality public service facilities and other supporting aspects of facilities and improvements to the regent's office as a place to carry out governance. This design uses the Belu vernacular architectural approach to present a building that reflects local regional culture. The redesign of the Regent's office is expected to create an inclusive, efficient and representative work environment for better public services in the modern era.
