Abstract
Thesis title: The Influence of Implementing Group Guidance Services on the Learning Interest of Students at SMP Negeri 16 Kupang for the 2024/2025 academic year. The problem of this research is whether the implementation of Group Guidance Services affects the learning interest of students in grades VIII-A and VIII-B at SMP Negeri 16 Kupang for the 2024/2025 academic year. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of implementing group guidance services on the learning interest of grades VIII-A and VIII-B at SMP Negeri 16 Kupang for the 2024/2025 academic year. This research is a type of quantitative research. The variables in this study are variable (X) Group Guidance and (Y) Learning Interest. The sample in this study consisted of 59 students from grades VIII-A and VIII-B at SMP Negeri 16 Kupang for the 2024/2025 academic year. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression analysis techniques and processed with the help of SPSS for Windows version 24. The results of the data analysis show that the calculated F value is greater than the table F value (9.469 > 4.010) and the significance value is 0.003 < 0.05, therefore Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of the Implementation of Group Guidance Services on Learning Interest in Class VIII-A and VIII-B of SMP Negeri 16 Kupang for the academic year 2024/2025. The results of the determination test show that the contribution of the variable (X) implementation of group guidance services to the variable (Y) learning interest is 14.2%, while 85.8% is the contribution of other variables that were not studied in this research. Based on the above research results, the researcher suggests to: a) The principal as the leader in the school is expected to support and facilitate the implementation of group guidance services in the school by providing adequate facilities and sufficient time for guidance counselors to carry out this program sustainably. b) Guidance and counseling teachers are expected to design BK programs that are more interesting and motivate students and are oriented towards increasing learning interest. c) Students are expected to take advantage of group guidance service sessions to enhance their learning interest. d) Future researchers are encouraged to examine other factors that influence students' learning interest, which were not investigated in this study.
