Abstract

The problems in this study are 1) What is the profile of academic procrastination in grade XI students of Social Studies SMAK Sint. Carolus Kupang for the 2023/2024 school year? 2) What are the implications of the academic procrastination profile on students of grade XI IPS SMAK Sint. Carolus Kupang for the 2023/2024 school year for tutoring programs? The purpose of this study is to find out: 1) Academic procrastination profile in grade XI students of IPS SMAK Sint. Carolus Kupang for the 2023/2024 school year, 2) Implications of academic procrastination profile in grade XI students of Social Studies SMAK Sint. Carolus Kupang for the 2023/2024 school year for tutoring programs. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The data collection instrument used is in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis uses central tendency analysis techniques. The results of the data analysis showed that the average score of the academic procrastination profile of students in grade XI of IPS High School Sint. Carolus Penfui Kupang for the 2023/2024 school year of 137 is in the score range of 98 – 139 including the low category. It can be said that students of class XI IPS SMA Sint. Carolus Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year has low academic procrastination, by showing an attitude of rarely procrastinating to start and complete tasks, often doing assignments, rarely showing a time gap between plans and actual performance and often doing fun activities. Based on the results of this study, the researcher proposes suggestions for: 1) The Principal, as the person in charge of the school, is expected to facilitate the implementation of guidance and counseling services for students who experience problems, especially academic procrastination problems. 2) BK teachers should increase cooperation with homeroom teachers and subject teachers to obtain information about students who experience academic procrastination problems so that they can be followed up in tutoring services. 3) Students are expected to be actively involved in tutoring service activities carried out by guidance and counseling teachers in order to maintain academic procrastination conditions which are currently in the low category
