Abstract
Thesis title: Analysis of external factors influencing bullying (Case study of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 4 Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year). The research problem is: What are the external factors influencing bullying of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 4 Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year? This study aims to determine the external factors influencing bullying of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 4 Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study uses a qualitative approach, with a case study type. Data collection techniques use interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of the study indicate that there are four main factors causing bullying, namely 1) Family factors 2) Peer factors 3) Environmental factors 4) Mass and electronic media factors. Suggestions are given to: a) Principals are expected to pay more attention to various factors causing bullying that occur in the school environment by increasing supervision of interactions between students, conducting training for teachers and school staff on bullying prevention, and collaborating with parents and related parties in creating a safe and comfortable school environment. b) Guidance and counseling teachers are expected to record and archive every bullying incident at school to serve as a reflection in formulating appropriate and effective handling strategies. c) Parents are expected to pay close attention to their children so that what has happened does not happen again. Extra, but not strict, supervision is also expected for children to avoid other negative things that might occur. d) Students are advised to cultivate an attitude of mutual respect, dare to report if they experience or witness bullying, and actively participate in prevention efforts to create a safe and comfortable school environment.
