Abstract
This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with data collection techniques carried out by giving students a problem solving task (TPM) test and interview guidelines. After knowing the thinking abilities of each of these students, namely high math abilities. Each student performs a problem solving task (TPM) then immediately conducts an interview about the student's work results. In this study, two students were selected, namely one female student and one male student with high mathematical abilities. Rate mathematical creative thinking ability is based on three indicators of fluency (fluency), flexibility (flexibility), and elaboration (elaboration). The results of this study indicate that students' creative thinking abilities based on high mathematical abilities have the same ability, but the way to do the two TPM is slightly different according to the catching style of each student with a slightly different duration. Based on the results of this study, the teacher should also pay attention to the students' thinking in order to better capture information and lessons.
