Abstract
The result of this study is to know whether there is the effect of realistic mathematic edication toward student mathematics achievement of state senio high school kristen 1 Kupang. The sample in this study is the students of class X IPA 1 senior high school kristen 1 Kupang which amounted to 20 students. The data used in this study is taken from the result of pretest and posttest of the experiment class by Realistic Mathemathic Education. The data obtained have been analysed by using SPSS of 22 version. Before hypotesis testing, do the prerequisite test there is normality test for pretest and posttest data. The data obtained from the results of pretest analysis was Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed)= 0,198 > 0,05 and Dhitung = 0,240 < 0,301 = Dtabel. Because it has qualified testing so pretest data is normally distributed. While the data is postest get the value Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed)=0,131> 0,05 dan Dhitung = 0,261 < 0,301 = Dtabel. This data has qualified testing so the posttest data is normally distributed. Hypotesis testing used paired sample test, after the data were analyzed the result was Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed)= 0,000 < 0,05 dan thitung= 17,206 > 2,093 = ttabel. Then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted, it means there is the effect that significant to realistic mathematic education toward student mathematics achievement of state senior high school kristen 1 Kupang. The results of this study indicate that the realistic mathematic education have an effect on the mathematics achievement. So that, the writer recommend for the teachers to used the realistic mathematic education to the learning process in the class room according to the materials being taught.
