Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is influence learning model Think Phair Share on mathematics achievement of high school students. The method used is experimental research, research design is one group pretest and posttest design. The sample in this research is class XC totaling 21 people. The data used in this research is data pretest and posttest of the experimental class (Think Phair Share ) data obtained were analyzed using SPSS 16 and manual analysis. Prior to testing hypotheses, normality test for data pretest and posttest of data , the results obtained Asymp value . Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,779 >0,05 while Dcount = 0,144 (manual ������ = 0,124) < ��� �= 0,287 therefore H0 received, which means normal distribution of data . While data postest Asympvalue. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,292 > 0,05 while ������ = 0,214 manual ������ = 0,209) < ��� �=0,287 therefore H0 received, which means normal distribution of data. SPSS analysis of the results obtained Asymp value . Sig . ( 2 - tailed) =0.000 , while������ = 15.617 with df = n - 1 , obtained df = 20 with a significantlevel �� = 0,025 earned value ��� � = 2.085 Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05 and ������ = 15,617 (manual 15,614) > ��� � = 2.085. Based on t test requirements and criteria for acceptance and rejection H0 chapter III with significant level of 5 %, it can be concluded H0 rejected and Ha accepted which means there is significant influence learning model Think Phair Share on mathematics achievement class X SMA Christian Kupang academic year 2015/2016. These results indicate that the learning model Think Phair Share effect on mathematics achievement therefore the authors suggest for teachers to use learning model Think Phair Share as one of the models that are taught in class according to the material taught.
