Abstract

This study aims to determine the cognitive learning outcomes of class VII students on the solar system material before being taught using the think pair share learning model, to determine the learning outcomes of class VII students on the solar system material before being taught using the think pair share model, and to determine there is an effect of implementing the think pair share learning model on student learning outcomes on the material of the solar system. This study uses a type of approach where the quantitative approach is an approach method that produces numbers with analysis using statistics. This research is included in the type of quasi-experimental research where quasi-experimental research is a study that has group control, but cannot fully control external variables that affect the implementation of the experiment. The subjects in this study were 32 students of class VII J SMP Negeri 3 Kupang. The average value of student learning outcomes in the initial test is 39.06, there is an increase in learning outcomes in the final test with an average value of 74.54. This means that there is an effect of implementing the think pair share learning model on the learning outcomes of class VII J students of SMP Negeri 3 Kupang on the material system of the solar system.
