Abstract

Village-Owned Enterprises is an economic institution managed by the village government and the community in the context of community welfare. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the SWOT analysis of the development of village-owned enterprises. This study aims to determine the SWOT analysis of the development of village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) in Tebara Village, Waikabubak City District, West Sumba Regency. The data sources in this study are primary data sources and secondary data. The approach used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. By using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study is the SWOT analysis technique. The results showed that the internal factors that are strengths and weaknesses in the development of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Tebara Village are: 1) The strengths of BUMDes Iyya Tekki consist of; (a) Having Prai Ijing Village Tourism has been managed well, (b) Has village tourism potential, namely Lake Wee Boro tourism, (c) Has superior products, namely rice, (d) BUMDes capital that is sufficientin managing the business units run, (e) Promotion of BUMDes Iyya Tekki is good. 2) The weaknesses of BUMDes Iyya Tekki consist of; a) Low and limited human resources, (b) Inadequate facilities. External factors that become opportunities and threats in the development of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Tebara Village are: 1) Opportunities for BUMDes Iyya Tekki consist of; (a) The development of increasingly advanced technology, (b) Government support, (c) Cooperative relations with business partners are good. 2) The threat of BUMDes Iyya Tekki consists of; (a) The existence of competitors with the same type of business and (b) The culture of living extravagantly in a massive society. From the results of the research above, it can be concluded that, SWOT analysis is used to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of internal factors as well as opportunities and threats from external factors of BUMDes Iyya Tekki so as to produce 5 strengths and 2 weaknesses and 3 opportunities and 2 threats for the development of BUMDes Iyya Tekki; the results of the SWOT matrix give birth to the issue of the leading strategy or one that is more prominent and has a major influence on the development of BUMDes are as follows: Increasing the promotion of BUMDes (Prai Ijing Traditional Village Tourism, Lake Wee Boro Tourism and products) through social media; Submit proposals to the government and partners for the arrangement of Prai Ijing Village Tourism and the development of Lake Wee Boro Tourism; Improving online marketing through social media. From the conclusion, the author put forward some suggestions as follows: For BUMDes Manager Iyya Tekki; More intensively and responsibly in carrying out tasks, it is hoped that it can implement the strategies proposed in this study.
