Abstract

This research is a qualitative research which aims to identify the number pattern on the tais woven fabric (sarong) of the northern amfoang district of Kupang when viewed from the number patterns that exist in the woven cloth of the northern Amfoang community of Kupang district. The research was conducted in Kolabe Village, North Amfoang sub-district, Kupang district, with the object of the research being the tais woven fabric (sarong) of the North Amfoang community and the subject of the research were weavers. The instrument in this study used interview guidelines and documentation guidelines, this study showed that there was a mathematical value in woven fabrics (sarongs) when viewed from the aspect of number patterns on tais woven fabrics (sarongs). The number patterns found on the tais woven fabric are odd number patterns and even number patterns.
