Abstract

Guitar playing is familiar in people’s lives, including in the educational enviroment. On the oyher hand, most people are not familiar with technical gameof arpeggios. The probles raised in this study is how to introduce the arpeggiotechnique in classical guitar playing with the song my homeland model as anextracurricular activity in class X SMA Negeri I Talibura , Talibura District, Sikka Regency. The purpuse of this research is to find out the efforts. Introducingarpeggio techniques in classical guitar playing with models my homeland songasan extracurricular activity for class X high school students Negeri I Talibura, Talibura district, Sikka Regency, This research is qualitative, and the method. For obtain data, researchers use literature studies and field studies includesobservation, interviews, and documentation.The results showed that theimplementations of the effort to introduce the arpeggio technique on the guitar was carried out in 3 stages, namely,the initial stage of recruiting guitar player members and determining the training schedule, the core stage of practicingthearpeggios technique, followed by practice of the homeland model song, andthefinal stage of playing guitar using arpeggio technique.Some things tha canbeconcluded in this researchis that introducing the arpeggio technique toart exracurricular students at SMA Negeri I Talibura can develop student’s abilitiesin playing guitar.In the application of this learning, it can be said to be successful because the practice of the arpeggio technique on the guitar is going well, sothat students with an interest in guitar can play and perform the song Tanah Airku. Student’s skills in playing guitar musical instruments. Through The imitationanddrill method, it is hoped that it can help teachers, especially teachers of arts andculture subjects to help students develop their respective potentials.
