Abstract

Guitar is a musical instrument that is often used among children to adults. The guitar is one type of stringed musical instrument that is played by plucking using your fingers or a plectrum or plectra commonly called a pick. One of the educational in East Flores district, Wulanggitang District, namely SMK Negeri I Wulanggitang has not included the practice of playing school musical instruments one of which is the guitar. The purpose of this research is to apply guitar playing using arpeggio technique to students with an interest in guitar at SMK Negeri I Wulanggitang. In the research process, the researcher uses imitation and drill learning methods, qualitative approaches, research methods, namely field action. To obtain data, the researcher used observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The initial stage of the research is to provide direction about the purpose of the study, collect information related to knowledge about guitar music, and provide an explanation and understanding of guitar music. The second meeting provided basic exercises in the form of score etude which consisted of basic techniques of fingering the scales, up and down arpeggio passages and carrying out the method of practicing the sheet music for fall flowers from bars 1-6. The third meeting repeated the exercises at the provious meeting and continued by playing on the 7-12 bar. The fourth meeting repeated the previous meeting and continued by playing on the 13-18. The fifth meeting repeated the previous meeting and continued by playing a song on the 19-24 bar. The sixth meeting repeats the previous meeting and is continued by playing a song on the 25-27 bar. The seventh meeting played the entire song in turn. The eigth meeting of the last video shoot by staging the game of the flower fall song together. The result of this study can be concluded that in an effort to apply the arpeggio technique to the pattern of guitar playing with the fall flower song model through the imitation and drill method for students interested in guitar at SMK Negeri I Wulanggitang, East Flores, Regenci, eight meeting were carried out through three stages, namely the initial stage, core and final stages.
