Abstract

Pianika is a wind instrument that works as a harmonica, namely by blowing it, but getting a variety of notes is regulated by the tone pressure on the toneboard blades like a piano instrument toneboard. The way to play the piano instrument is with the left hand holding the piano and the right hand pressing to play the melody of the song, while the mouth blows the hose to produce sound. Pianika is one of the school musical instruments that is mandatory in learning at the junior high and high school level and is usually developed through extracurricular activities in the form of exercises. In a study with the title introducing the basic techniques of playing piano music with the song I saw the motherland model using the drill method in class XI students of interest in music at Trikari Vocational School, the researchers formulated the problem that became the focus of research, namely how to take the right steps in introducing the basic techniques of playing piano music with the model song I saw the motherland using the drill method for class XI students with an interest in music at Trikari Vocational School. This study aims to find out the right steps in introducing the basic techniques of playing piano music with the model song Ku See Mother Earth using the Drill method in class XI students who are interested in music at Trikari Vocational School. This study uses qualitative methods, the method used is field action research with data collection techniques used, namely library research, and field studies consisting of observation, interviews, and documentation. , namely the first meeting of recruitment, giving material about piano instruments and introducing piano instruments, the second meeting playing natural C scales. The third meeting played a simple notation, the fourth meeting played a two-part song, the fifth meeting played a song in the third part and continued in the fourth part, the sixth meeting played the song as a whole and the seventh meeting performed the performance. piano music with the model song I saw the motherland using the drill method in class XI students of interest in music at Trikari Smk in the process students experienced difficulties related to the basic techniques of playing piano music. However, this can be overcome by the method that has been given, namely the drill method, which is doing the exercises repeatedly so that students can play well in the end.
