Abstract

This study aims to describe students' creativity in solving word problems sub subject of fractions. The studies included in this qualitative descriptive study took place in September 2014 in SMP Negri 8 Kupang class VII-A with subjects of the study are 6 students that two high-ability students, two students are capable of being and two low-ability students. Data collection techniques used in this research is to give about the test, interview and documentation. The data analysis is done by reducing the data, present the data and make inferences. The results showed that subjects were highly capable and meet the flexibility indicator from the three indicators of creativity, while the low-ability subjects did not meet the three indicators of creativity.
