Abstract
The main problem in this study is how mathematics concept comprehension of junior high school student to solving circle problem reviewed by gender. This study aimed to describe the comprehension of mathematics concept of junior high student to solving circle problem reviewed by gender. The benefit of this study as a reference in develop a profession which will be meet in the work field and as an input to improve mathematics concept comprehension in learning process. This study was conducted to two student of SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten 2 Kupang class VIII, consist of a male student and a female student. The result of this study show that mathematics concept comprehension have by male and female student to solve circle problem fulfill three indicators that is translation, interpreting, extrapolation. Based of the result of this study, teacher can take speciific step to improve the mathematics concept comprehension to solve circel problem. To improve mathematics concept comprehension student have to know the concept before study the material or solve mathematics problem.
