Abstract
This research is a qualitative descriptive research that aims to describe the students ' difficulties in solving math problems based on learning style and motivation learning to learn the circle material. The selection of research subjects was conducted by giving learning style test and learning motivational test in grade IXC students of SMP N 20 Kupang. The subject is selected as many as three people consisting of students with a visual learning style that has a low motivation for learning, students with an auditory learning style that has low motivation, and students with a kinesthetic learning style that has low motivation to learn. Data collected in the form of test result data, interview results and triangulation time. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions. After the data was presented and analyzed, it was concluded that: (1) Students with a visual learning style that has low motivation to learn is have difficulty at the stage of creating settlement plans, stage implement a settlement plan, and the stage performs final conclusion of completion. (2) Students with an auditory learning style that has low motivation is have difficulty at the stage of creating settlement plans and stage implement a settlement plan. (3) Students with a kinesthetic that has a low motivation for learning is have difficulty at the stage of creating settlement plans.
