Abstract
Thesis title: Profile of student social interaction and its implications for the social guidance program in Class VIII^F Students of SMP Negeri 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency, academic year 2021/2022. Problem formulation: 1) What is the social interaction profile of class VIII^F students of SMP Negeri 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency for the 2021/2022 academic year? 2) What are the implications of the social interaction profile of class VIII^F students of SMP Negeri 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency for the 2021/2022 academic year for the social guidance program? The purpose of this study is to find out: 1) Social interaction profile of class VIII^F students of SMP Negeri 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency for the 2021/2022 academic year. 2) Implications of the social interaction profile of class VIII^F students of SMP Negeri 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency for the 2021/2022 academic year for the social guidance program. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire of student social interactions. The data analysis technique used is central trend analysis. The calculation results are known X ̅= 154.95, SB = 10.93, and 〖GB〗_X ̅ = 1.98. The result of such calculations is compared with the table of the normal distribution of price z at a significance level of 5%. From the results of the comparison it is known that the value (μ=mu) is between X ̅- (1.96 x 〖GB〗_X ̅ ) — X ̅+ (1.96 x 〖GB〗_X ̅ ). So the minimum μ value at a significance level of 5% is X ̅- (1.96 × 1.98) = 154.95 – 3.8808 = 151.0692 and the maximum μ value X ̅+ (1.96 × 1.98) = 154.95 + 3.8808 = 158.8308. From the calculation above, a minimum μ = 151.0692 and a maximum μ = 158.8308, then the average social interaction score of class VIII^Fstudents of SMP Negeri 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency for the 2021/2022 academic year is (151.0692 + 158.8308 )/2 = 309.9/2= 154.95. Thus, the social interaction profile of class VIII^F students of SMP Negeri 1 Kefamenanu, North Central Timor Regency for the 2021/2022 academic year, shows an average score of 154.95 is between the score range of 126-163 included in the high category this means that class VIII^F students of SMP Negeri 1 Kefamenanu have good social interaction in the relationship between individuals and groups that influence each other and are characterized by feedback, mutual trust, mutual respect and mutual support. Based on the results of the study, the researcher gave advice to: a) The Principal is expected to continue to support all Guidance and Counseling activities, so that the implementation of social guidance programs can be carried out properly in order to maintain good student social interaction. b) Guidance and Counseling Teachers are expected to design and develop social guidance programs to maintain good student social interaction. c). Students are expected to be actively involved in the implementation of social guidance programs organized by Guidance and Counseling teachers in schools and use them to maintain good social interaction.
