Abstract

Music is a very real language of sounds to convey everything that is hidden in one's thoughts and feelings. In other words, musical activities are very helpful for children as well as adolescents to dive into the ins and outs of mood and the deepest niches of the mind (Nimpoeno, 2009: 8). One of the musical knowledge in school education is instrument music. Instrument music is commonly known as the subject matter of cultural arts in schools. The flute is a musical instrument of the wind instrument family made of bamboo, the flute sound is soft and can be combined with other musical instruments well.Learning Technique of the Bamboo Flute Game Using the Drill Method in Class XI Students at SMA Negeri 3 Poco Ranaka. Learning comes from the word Learning which means to try or practice in order to get something clever (Big Dictionary Indonesian WJS. Poerwadarminata). The flute is a musical instrument from the family of wind instruments made of bamboo, the sound of the flute is soft and can be combined with other musical instruments well. The number of participants in this study consisted of 5 students. The goal to be achieved is that students interested in instrumental music are able to play bamboo seruliung with good and correct techniques. Researchers use the Drill Method which is exemplified directly by the researcher and followed by the research subject and carried out repeatedly. This research uses a qualitative approach, selection of data collection methods and instruments using literature studies, field studies and observations. The results of this study show that the process of introducing bamboo flute learning techniques using the Drill method in Class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Poco Ranaka went well. Although there are so many obstacles, the research subject can master the bamboo flute game technique. From the results of the final video performance, participants can play and master the bamboo flute game technique on the song Silence Cipta well.
