Abstract

One-of-a-kind ensembles are musical performances that play songs together with the same type of musical instrument. At SMA Negeri 1 Aesesa, music and ensemble arts are also taught theoretically. This is not in line with the competence which is the goal in learning music, in this case the ensemble, namely students are able to play ensemble music well. Based on the description above, this study aims to introduce guitar ensemble playing to Aesesa State High School guitar interest students with Bolebo songs using imitation and drill methods. The application of the apoyando and strumming techniques in guitar ensemble playing to Aesesa 1 Public High School students with the song Bolelebo using the imitation and drill method is carried out in the following stages: the initial stage, recruiting members interested in guitar, determining a practice schedule, and providing material about guitar knowledge . Next, the core stage is the application of the basic techniques of strumming and apoyando through playing etudes and continuing with the rehearsal of the Bolelebo sheet music in the form of a similar ensemble. The final stage, staging as well as taking a video. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that students who are interested in guitar at SMA Negeri 1 Aesesa can play similar ensembles through a good training process, so that students can play Bolelebo songs. Even though there are various difficulties, these can be overcome by using imitation and drill methods.
