Abstract

This research is entitled: The Strategy of the Health Service in Countering Stunting (Case Study of Stunting Management at the Haliwen Community Health Center, Kakuluk Mesak District, Belu Tahuan Regency 2020-2021). The problem posed is: What is the strategy for the Health Service in tackling stunting at the Haliwen Health Center, Kakuluk Mesak sub-district, Belu Regency in 2020-2021. The concept used in this study uses the Government Strategy Theory. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique. Sources of data from this study were taken from interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively to explain the strategy implemented by the Haliwen Health Center in tackling stunting. The variables examined in this study were Intervention Strategies and stunting counseling. The intervention strategy which is a step taken by the Regional Government in tackling stunting through the Haliwen Health Center consists of 2 aspects, namely Specific Intervention and Sensitive Intervention. Meanwhile, rembuk stunting is one of the strategies for tackling stunting which involves other sectors. Based on the results of the research analysis it was concluded that the Implementation of the Management Program was going well. There are 2 variables studied, namely Intervention Strategy and Stunting Rembuk with Intervention Strategy covering 2 aspects, namely Specific Intervention and Sensitive Intervention. On the Specific Intervention indicator in the form of Supplementary Feeding for stunted pregnant women and toddlers, Posyandu Development and Counseling programs about stunting and its prevention. Meanwhile, sensitive intervention indicators are in the form of counseling programs about family planning (KB), and service programs that use BPJS and universal maternity insurance cards (Jampersal). Rembuk stunting, namely the implementation of stunting prevention involving other sectors in this case the Program from the Haliwen Health Center (Health Office, Education Office, Based on the results of the analysis, it can be recommended that the Health Center must continue to educate the local community so that the community is more aware of the importance of maintaining nutritional intake in infants and toddlers by utilizing local foods that are high in calories and the importance of maintaining nutritional patterns during pregnancy and providing counseling to parents about the dangers free sex on teenagers because basic education comes from the family. Meanwhile, the Village or Kelurahan Government needs to make programs that are directly related to stunting prevention and need to collaborate with other sectors so that the more sectors that are involved the faster the response will be.
