Abstract

Tourism is a whole series of activities related to the movement of people who travel or stop temporarily from where they live. A tourist area is an area that has several special characteristics that can become a tourist destination. The unique features of a tourist area are related to Natural Resources (SDA), tradition or culture whose authenticity is relatively preserved. Sikka Village is a village that has a variety of tourist destinations, both natural tourism, and spiritual tourism and is rich in historical value. Nature tourism in this village is in the form of Sikka Beach which has high roaring waves making it suitable to be a surfing sport spot and the beauty of a distinctive white sand beach. In addition, Sikka Village is the forerunner to establishing Sikka Regency which has natural wealth and cultural heritage from the Sikka Kingdom. In its development, the issue raised is how to preserve or maintain the existing potential so that Sikka Village is maintained. The concept of a coastal tourism area is planned and designed using the picture of Architectural Transformation. Architectural Transformation is a combination of the word trance which means moving from one place to another; while the word formation means arrangement or form. Thus the meaning of the word transformation is the activity of changing form/organization or the process of changing form. In general, transformation can be seen from two aspects: change and transfer. The techniques used are exaggeration, elimination, modification, and substitution techniques. Architectural Transformation is used as an approach to designing coastal areas in Sikka Village. This approach is applied to sites and buildings so that they can present an impression that is in accordance with the function and aesthetics designed.
