Abstract

The essence of this research, discusses creative thinking in solving mathematical problems through the application of models of inquiry learning is done through an experimental class method class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Kupang on sub subject Beam Cube and second semester of the school year 2014/2015. The research objective was to determine the increase in creative thinking abilities of students in problem-solving learning through inquiry learning model and determine students' response to the learning model. From the test results in SPSS 22.0 statistical output obtained pretest data normality test (tests of normality) note that pretest data have value Sig. output amounted to and posttest data normality test (tests of normality) note that posttest data have value Sig. amounting to , with a sample size of 28 and a significance level of 5. It can be concluded that the experimental class normal distribution. From the results of the t test output in SPSS 22.0 is known that Sig, (2- tailed) of 0.000. with value significance . From the test results of the above statistics, there is a significant increase students' self-confidence and creative thinking of students in solving problems with the implementation of inquiry learning. This further strengthens the research hypothesis which states accept Ha, so it can be concluded that there is significant influence between learning model mathematics achievement inquiry against sub subject of cubes and blocks class VIII SMP Negeri 8 cities Kupang academic year 2014/2015.
