Abstract

This research is a qualitative research type case study that aimed to determine the creative thinking ability of students in terms of personality type. The research was conducted at SMPK Giovanni Kupang and was carried out in the even semester of the 2022/2023. The subjects in this research consisted of 1 student with introverted personality type and 1 student with extroverted personality type selected based on personality tests and recommendations from teachers who teach mathematics subjects at school. Data collection techniques in this research used tests consisting of personality tests, creative thinking tests, and interviews. The data analysis technique used in this research consists of three lines, namely data reduction, presentation and conclusions. At the research stage, it consists of three stages, namely the preparation stage which includes the place, time of research and preparation of research instruments, the implementation stage which includes personality tests, creative thinking tests and interviews, after that the stage of drawing conclusions. The results showed that subjects with introverted personality types were categorized in the very creative category (TKBK 4) because they met three indicators of creative thinking, namely fluency, flexibility and novelty while subjects with extroverted personality types were categorized in the less creative category (TKBK 1) because they only met one indicator of creative thinking, namely fluency
