Abstract

The burgeoning development of primary health centers (Puskesmas) in the city of Kupang is poised to expand the reach of healthcare services to the community. Kupang city boasts multiple roadways leading to Puskesmas locations, often perplexing residents in determining the quickest route within a limited timeframe. A-Star , an informed search algorithm, emerges as a viable solution. Its implementation involves creating two lists of nodes: the openlist, containing predetermined but unanalyzed nodes, and the closelist, encompassing neighboring nodes added to the openlist. This study aims to provide readers with a sound understanding of utilizing the A-Star algorithm for finding optimal routes. To maximize the effectiveness of A-Star in route optimization, the researchers suggest future studies focus on broader object development and research records. This broader scope is anticipated to enhance the implementation of the A-Star algorithm in searching for the shortest routes.
