Abstract
Aggregate is the main material for making pavement, in which the proportion is 90% - 95% by weight or 75% - 85% by volume. With such a large number of aggregate proportions, it is hoped that the quality of the aggregate used will also determine the quality and level of resistance and durability of road construction (Silvia, 2003: 1). The availability of quality aggregate is absolutely necessary to ensure the sustainability of development in the road construction sector in an area or area. Malacca Regency is one of the areas in East Nusa Tenggara Province which is still developing. Therefore, the need for the development and improvement of facilities and infrastructure is very high, including road transportation infrastructure. This results in high demand for materials. Especially in the aggregate material used as a foundation layer material in asphalt road work. Data from the Mota Hali quarry material test results meet the General specifications 2018 revi 2 for each type of test, and for testing the properties of the Mota Hali quarry material it can be seen from the data from the results of this test, the abrasion value obtained was 21.38% (using coarse aggregate retained on sieve no. ½” and 3/8” with 12 steel balls), The percentage ratio of passing sieve no. 200 and no. 40 by 1/4 of a maximum of 2/3 (required in the 2018 General Highways specifications revision 2), specific gravity of coarse aggregate average of 2.557% specific gravity of fine aggregate average of 2.622%, optimum moisture content of 5.454%, weight dry content 2.143 gr/cm3. From the test data, it can be concluded that the Mota Hali quarry material meets the general specifications of 2018 revision 2.
