Abstract
The scientific approach is an approach that provides a learning experience for students to construct their knowledge through scientific activities. The stages of the scientific approach include asking questions, gathering information/ trying, reasoning/ associating, and communicating what is known as 5M. The objectives of this study were (1) to find out how the teacher's ability to manage learning by applying a scientific approach to the material for electrolyte and non- electrolyte solutions in class X IPA 2 SMA 17 August Lorobauna (2) to know the learning outcomes of students in learning by applying a scientific approach to the material principal of electrolyte and non- electrolyte solutions in class X IPA 2 SMA 17 August Lorobauna (3) Knowing the increase in student learning outcomes in the aspect of knowledge (K13) in learning by applying a scientific approach to the subject matter of electrolyte and non- electrolyte solutions in class X IPA 2 SMA 17 August Lorobauma. Data collection techniques used Observation and Test Data obtained from descriptive qualitative analysis. From the data analysis obtained (1) The teacher's ability to manage learning by applying a scientific approach to the material of electrolyte and non- electrolyte solutions in class X IPA 2 SMA 17 August Lorobauna is categorized the score obtained is 3.77 (2) The completeness of the learning outcomes of students in learning by applying a scientific approach to the subject matter of electrolyte and non- electrolyte solutions in class X IPA 2 SMA 17 August Lorobauna is categorized as complete with the score obtained being 91 (3 ) Improving the learning outcomes of students in the aspect of knowledge (K13) in learning by applying a scientific approach to the main subject matter of electrolyte and non- electrolyte solutions in class X IPA 2 SMA August 17 Lorobauna obtained an average N- gain of 0.69 included in the moderate improvement category.
