Abstract

This type of research is quantitative research with multiple regression analysis techniques. The population in this study is that all students of class X Kupang 6 Public High School consisting of 4 classes and research samples are one class using random sampling techniques taken randomly to be sampled. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and mathematics learning achievement tests. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 22.0 for Windows program. From the results of SPSS 22 for windows, based on normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests, verbal ability and self-adjustment have an influence on mathematics learning achievement. In multiple regression analysis verbal ability and self-adjustment have an influence on mathematics learning achievement, and obtained regression equations Y = -86.707 + 1.098 X1 + 0.958 X2 and F count = 24.195 ≥ 3.42 = Ftable, then H0 is accepted, meaning there the influence of verbal ability and adjustment to mathematics learning achievement of class X students of Kupang State Senior High School 6. Based on the results of SPSS 22 for Windows, the F test of verbal ability and self-adjustment has an influence on mathematics learning achievement and in t-test, verbal ability and self-adjustment have an influence on mathematics learning achievement Based on the results of the study, the researchers concluded that there was a partially significant effect of verbal ability on the mathematics learning achievement of class X Kupang 6 SMA Negeri / 2018 academic year, there was a partially significant influence of adjustment to the mathematics learning achievement of class X high school students Negeri 6 Kupang in the 2017/2018 school year, there is a simultaneous significant effect of verbal ability and adjustment to the mathematics learning achievement of class X students of Kupang 6 Public High School 2017/2018 academic year
