Abstract
Art is an important part of culture because it is a way of expression and a product of creative works. Culture is a way of life shared by a group of people and passed down from generation to generation. This idea then gave birth to local wisdom and many cultures. In Wolomage Village, Ende Regency, there is a traditional ceremony which is always held every year as a form of gratitude from the community for the harvest which is usually called Nggua Uta Bue. In this traditional ceremony there is a song that is always the Oro song. The Oro song is a song sung during the procession from Ola Roe (Place of Offerings), to the traditional house (Sa,o Ria). The lyrics of this song contain traditional languages which mean thanksgiving, led by the traditional Tua (Mosa Laki) followed by the community and responding to each other. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach using an ethnographic design. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that: The form of presentation of Nggua Uta Bue and Oro consists of several stages. Initial stages: Mera ata Du,a (customary elder consultation), Teo Nggo (hanging gongs), Dhawe Kanga (cleaning the traditional courtyard), Kewo Ule Au (looking for bamboo worms), Tu are Nggua (delivering rice), Tahu ola roe ( making a place for offerings), Keti Uta (picking vegetables). Presentation Stage: Nggua Uta Bue, Oro. Final Stage: The ceremony closes with the gawi dance. Then the meaning of the Oro song. The meaning of the oro song in the ngua uta bue ceremony is (Bhea ria ngama ngala) an expression of joy, happiness over the harvest and thanksgiving to God and the Ancestors because they are still given abundant blessings on the land and natural resources that the community can use to meet their living needs. ( Nggua tau pire ji,e tau sewa gara ) A sign of victory because Nggua Uta Bue has been implemented, meaning that the taboo has ended or you are allowed to eat long beans and cucumbers. The people of Wolomage village still highly uphold the customs and beliefs of their ancestors because they believe that everything that happens in their lives must always have the intervention of their ancestors.
