Abstract

SMPN 2 Amarasi Selatan is one of the junior high schools (SMP) located on JL. Timor Raya KM, 40, Sahraen, South Amarasi District. SMPN 2 Amarasi Selatan is one of the schools that has not used the website application. where the acceptance of new students still uses a manual system, namely during registration, selection, announcement of new student admissions, administrative selection process, making forms, and collecting data which still uses Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word without a database which is said to be very simple and has several shortcomings in processing data in the form of documents which often complicates the process of searching for student data. To overcome the problem, a website-based new student admission application design is needed. The model used to design the system is the waterfall model. This system model is designed to be based on a website which is implemented using XAMPP, with the PHP programming language, and for the database using MySQL. The result of this research is an application that is able to process data, store data properly and safely, facilitate the process of searching for data that has been stored in the database, and provide output in the form of reports in document form.
