Abstract

This research was written by Rosefenerial Gabriela Kue (31120042). Development Economics Study Program under the guidance of Supervisor I Mrs. Dr. M. E. Perseveranda, SE, M. Si and supervisor II Mr. Adrianus Ketmoen, SE, MM with the research title Socio-Economic Conditions and Their Impact on Stunting in Ladolima Village, Keo Tengah District, Nagekeo Regency. The aim of this research is to find out the relationship between socioeconomic conditions and stunting conditions in Ladolima Village, Keo Tengah District, Nagekeo Regency. This research uses qualitative research, the data sources used are primary and secondary data. The location of this research is Ladolima Village, Keo Tengah District, Nagekeo Regency. The population in this research is Heads of Families in Ladolima Village and the sample in this research is Heads of Families who have stunted children. The results of this research are that the socio-economic status of the family influences the incidence of stunting in children, including family income, parental education, parental employment, and number of family members. Where, the higher the parent's income, the smaller the incidence of stunting. Educational level and status work also has an impact due to lack of understanding, lack of time to care for children, poor parenting patterns and inadequate nutrition for children. This is also related to the number or number of family members in the house because the more family members there are, the more difficult it is to fulfill daily living needs. days. Therefore, it is important to increase access to quality education, empower families economically and improve health and nutrition interventions as an effort to reduce the incidence of stunting in children. Suggestions There is a need to increase community human resources as well as providing education regarding the causes and prevention of stunting, providing education to pregnant women, developing posyandu cadres to reduce stunting rates. It is recommended that parents who have toddlers fulfill their children's nutritional needs by using local regional food and increasing knowledge regarding nutritional intake in terms of efforts to prevent stunting in children.
