Abstract

As an archipelagic country, Indonesia has numerous tourism potentials, including cultural tourism, marine tourism, and agro-tourism spread throughout the nation. Each region with tourism potential will be developed and optimally utilized as an attractive destination for visitors due to the growth of the tourism industry and the public's need for entertainment and recreation. Malaka Regency has significant potential in tourism, with many attractions, one of which is Abudenok Beach. The issues include a lack of environmentally friendly accommodation facilities in the area, negative environmental impacts from unsustainable development, and the need to enhance tourist appeal. This planning and design aim to develop a resort concept that not only meets tourists' needs but also preserves the surrounding environment. The methods used include area potential analysis, literature review, and field surveys to understand environmental characteristics and market needs. Through SWOT analysis, this study identifies the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with the project’s development. The research findings indicate that Abudenok has abundant natural resources but faces infrastructure challenges and environmental impacts. With this approach, it is hoped that the resort hotel will not only become an attractive tourist destination but also support the sustainability of the local ecosystem and improve the welfare of the community in Malaka Regency.
