Abstract

Thesis entitled "The Influence of Leadership, Organizational Commitment and Work Motivation on Employee Performance at Biro Organisasi Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur"written by Benyamin Indra A. Balukh, NIM: 8112192004MM, guided by Dr. Simon Sia Niha, SE, M.Si and Drs. Ec. Gaudensius Djuang, MM. Employee performance at Biro Organisasi Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi NTT (Organizational Bureau of Local Secretariat of East Nusa Tenggara Province) is not yet optimal and is thought to be influenced by leadership, organizational commitment and work motivation. This research aims to determine: 1) respondents' perceptions about leadership, organizational commitment and work motivation of employees at Biro Organisasi Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi NTT; 2) the significance of the partial influence of leadership, organizational commitment and work motivation on employee performance at Biro Organisasi Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi NTT; 3) the significance of leadership, organizational commitment and work motivation simultaneously on employee performance at Biro Organisasi Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi NTT. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a sample of 52 respondents (saturated sample). Data was collected using questionnaires, interviews and documentation studies and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that respondents' perceptions of leadership, organizational commitment, work motivation and employee performance are in the good category. The t test results show that leadership and work motivation partially have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while organizational commitment has a negative and significant effect on employee performance. The results of the F test show that the three independent variables simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results of the coefficient of determination show that these three independent variables contribute 97.1% to employee performance, while the remaining 2.9% is contributed by other variables not included in this research. Based on the research results, it is recommended to Biro Organisasi Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi NTT to pay more attention to leadership factors through developing communication and work team solidity, organizational commitment factors through developing work culture values, as well as work motivation factors through implementing reward dan pusnishment because these factors are proven to influence the high and low levels of employee performance.
