Abstract

Dental and oral diseases are often considered trivial by society, but are very disturbing for sufferers of these diseases, especially when eating. Dental and oral diseases have many types and have almost the same symptoms. Based on the results of observations obtained, many people at the Maukaro Community Health Center who experienced dental and oral diseases sought treatment at the community health center or specialist doctors. Apart from that, the lack of health workers at the Maukaro Community Health Center also has an impact on the slowness of the examination process. The aim of this research is to build an expert system for diagnosing dental and oral diseases using the Naive Bayes method where facts and knowledge of the system are obtained from a specialist doctor who has expertise in diagnosing dental and oral diseases. This expert system is designed using the PHP programming language and database storage using MySQL. This system makes it easier for doctors to provide services to patients and helps the public find out types of dental and oral diseases quickly and accurately.
