Abstract

The purpose of this study is to decribe the governance of the Ombudsman institution of the Republic of Indonesia representative office of East Nusa Tenggara in previting violations of publik services in Kupang City to improve the quality of public services in Kupang City. In this study, a desctiptive qualitative research methodis used which aims to understand the phenomenon of the wahat, which is holistic (whole) by means of obtaining secondary and primary data incorrelating with the analysis of the problems studied in efforts to prevent violations of public services by the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia representative office of East Nusa Tenggara in Kupang City. The variables in this study are the governance of prevention of public services violation. The governance of prevantion in this study is related to the procedures of the Ombudsaman institutions of the Republic of Indonesia representativ office of East Nusa Tenggara in effort to prevent violations of public services. The prevetion efforts carrid out are supervision of public service standards and assessment of public service standards. For the research results, it can be concluded the efforts to prevent violations of public services in Kupang City carried out by the Ombudsman Republic of Indonesia isntitution, Representative of East Nusa Tenggara by conducting public sercive supervision and public standars compliance assessment. Supervasion efforts carrid out by the Ombudsman RI representative office of East Nusa Tenggara by monitoring and making recommendations, monitoring is carried out both actively and passively. Monitoring is carried out to directly ensure teh process of public service flow carried out by the organizers. In carrying out monitoring, if there are findings of indetification of violations, the Ombudsman RI representativ office of East Nusa Tenggara will make rekomendations to the organizers in to improve and enhance public services. In efforts to prevents this, the Ombudsman RI Reperesentative office of NTT conducts a public service standards compliance and issues a public service opinion. The assessment aims to measure the level of compliance adn qualty of public services carried out by public service organizers. Public service opinion as a resul of the service assessment public which will then become a reference for public service providers. Therfore, it is recommmended that the Ombudsman Repubic of Iindonesia Representative office of East Nusa Tenggara continue to optimize and ansure that the public service procces continues to be carried out properly to realize the quality of public service to the people of Kupang City. Supervision efforts are increased and assessment and coordination to each public service providers to improve the qualty of public services.
