Abstract

The automotive sector in Atambua City has shown a positive growth trend, driven by the increasing demand for personal and commercial vehicles. However, Atambua currently lacks adequate car showroom facilities, compelling residents to travel to other cities to meet their automotive needs. As a strategic border city adjacent to Timor-Leste, Atambua holds significant potential to become a hub for automotive trade, catering not only to local residents but also to customers from neighboring countries. This study focuses on the design of a car showroom in Atambua City using a modern architectural approach that integrates innovative, aesthetic, and functional design principles. The showroom is planned to incorporate cutting-edge building technologies, advanced materials, and sustainable concepts. Wide-span structures are utilized to create flexible exhibition spaces, while facade manipulations and design elements reflect modernity and appeal. The spatial circulation is efficiently designed to enhance visitor comfort in exhibition areas and after-sales service facilities. The establishment of this showroom is expected to improve local access to highquality vehicles and automotive services, strengthen Atambua's position as an automotive hub in the border region, and positively impact the local economy. With its innovative design, this project aspires to be a representation of modern architecture that prioritizes not only function and aesthetics but also environmental sustainability.
