The formulation of the problem in writing this thesis is how is the role of Uem Leu (Traditional House) in the Governance of the Life of the Atoin Meto Community in Oekopa Village, Biboki Tanpah District, TTU Regency. The theory used by the researcher in solving the research problem is the role of uem leu in the life of the atoin meto community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The primary data source is the informants while the secondary data is documents related to the research variables. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The variables in the study are directed at the symbols of cultural identity and the preservation of the traditions of the atoin meto community. The results of the study show that 1) Traditions and Rituals: Traditions in traditional houses reflect gratitude, respect for ancestors, and customary rules that are passed down from generation to generation, such as harvest rituals that emphasize customary permission before enjoying the produce, and traditional marriages that emphasize the importance of the blessing of elders. 2) Values and Beliefs: Belief in Uis Neno (God of Heaven) and Uis Pah (Goddess of the Earth) and the role of traditional figures reflect the strength of spirituality and customs in everyday life. The involvement of all generations, especially young people, in rituals shows efforts to preserve culture. These values reflect a view of life that upholds harmony with nature, respect for ancestors, and preservation of cultural heritage. 3) Sustainability of Traditional Ceremonies and Rituals: The sustainability of ceremonies such as Tahan Feu and the construction of traditional houses shows that traditional cultural values are still alive and upheld, as well as being a means of preserving ancestral heritage and strengthening collective identity. 4) Preservation of Cultural and Symbolic Values: Preservation of cultural values in Oekopa is closely related to the spiritual, emotional, and social relationship between humans and nature. Land and water are seen as symbols of life and ancestral heritage that must be respected. Through sustainable agriculture, traditional rituals, and the use of Pemali water, the community affirms its commitment to preserving noble values from generation to generation. Based on the results of the analysis above, the author concludes that the Role of Uem Leu (Traditional House) has a very vital role in the lives of indigenous peoples. Traditional houses are not just places to live, but rather centers of spiritual, cultural, social and educational life that are integrated into the daily lives of the community.
