Abstract

A sports hall is a structure used for indoor sports activities. A sports hall, as a public facility, is intended to support the community in realizing their sports dreams, or as a means for people to exercise to maintain and improve their fitness and maintain good health. Sports halls are not only used as sports facilities but also serve as tourist attractions. However, the development of sports in Belu Regency is currently hampered by the limited availability of adequate sports facilities. Existing facilities, such as soccer fields, volleyball courts, and tennis courts, are generally poorly maintained and substandard. This leads to a lack of public interest in sports and makes it difficult for athletes to train and improve their skills. The method used in this research was a qualitative approach with a field study. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, planning, and design. Therefore, a new, modern and fully equipped sports hall design is needed to become a center for sports activities for the community. This will encourage more active participation in sports, thereby improving physical and mental health. A modern and well-equipped sports arena can attract sports tourists. This will increase tourist visits to Belu Regency, thereby boosting the regional economy. The construction of a sports arena will create new jobs for the surrounding community, increasing income and driving regional economic growth.
