Abstract

Toko Kue Aletha Bakery is a business specializing in selling birthday cakes. Currently, the ordering and transaction recording process is still done manually using notebooks and messaging applications such as WhatsApp. This process is time-consuming and carries a high risk of recording errors and data loss. Ordering via WhatsApp makes it difficult to summarize sales data, is slow to respond to surges in orders, lacks an automatic notification system, and is not integrated with product stock management. This study aims to design and build a web-based management information system that simplifies the online cake ordering process and supports digital bookkeeping. The system development method used is the Waterfall method. The results of this study indicate that the system is able to automatically record orders, reduce product stock according to the number of orders, and generate accurate daily and monthly sales reports. Black-box testing proved that all main functions, such as User registration, ordering, payment, and report printing, function as required.
