Abstract
The problems explored are, 1) what is the profile of managing angry emotions in class VIII^B students at SMPK Santa Maria Assumpta Kupang, academic year 2023/2024. 2) What are the implications of the profile of managing angry emotions for class VIIIB students at SMPK Santa Maria Assumpta Kupang, academic year 2023/2024 for the personal tutoring program. The aim of the research is to find out: 1) The profile of managing angry emotions of class VIIIB students at SMPK Santa Maria Assumpta Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year. 2) The implications of the profile for managing angry emotions in class VIII^B students at SMPK Santa Maria Assumpta Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year for the personal guidance program. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative and the data collection tool is a questionnaire for managing angry emotions. The research data analysis technique uses the central tendency formula. The results of research data analysis show that the average profile score for managing angry emotions for class VIIIB students at SMPK Santa Maria Assumpta Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year is 130, between the score range of 126 – 163, which is in the high category. It can be concluded that class VIIIB students at SMPK Santa Maria Assumpta Kupang for the 2023/2024 academic year are able to manage angry emotions well as seen from recognizing angry emotions, controlling angry emotions, calming angry emotions, and expressing angry emotions assertively. Based on the results of research data analysis as described, the researcher proposed suggestions to the following parties: a) School Principals: are expected to maintain and increase cooperation with guidance and counseling teachers, facilitate and support all personal guidance program designs in schools so that they are implemented well in order to maintain good management of students' angry emotions. b) Counseling Teachers: are expected to design and develop personal guidance programs that suit students' needs in order to maintain good management of students' angry emotions.c) Students: are expected to be actively involved in personal guidance activities carried out at school, so that they can better manage angry emotions.
