Abstract
Ellen Alice Saubaki (8122025) conducted research titled “The Effect of Compensation, Infrastructure, and Work Discipline on Teacher Performance with Managerial Competence as a Moderating Variable,” under the guidance of Mr. Dr. Agapitus H. Kaluge, M.Pd as the 1st supervisor, and Mr. Dr. Elvis A. Bin Toni, S.Pd., MA as the 2nd supervisor. Teacher performance reflects a teacher's effectiveness in carrying out their duties and responsibilities at school. Various factors, including compensation, available infrastructure, and intrinsic work discipline, can influence the quality of teacher performance. Principals, with their managerial competence, play a crucial role in either enhancing or diminishing teacher performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compensation, infrastructure, and teacher work discipline on teacher performance, with managerial competence serving as a moderating variable. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Fatuleu, located on Jalan Timor Raya Km. 43 Lili, Camplong, Fatuleu District, Kupang Regency. The sample size was 36 teachers. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and inferential analysis through the Smart Partial Least Square program. The results of the study indicated that: 1) compensation, infrastructure, work discipline, and teacher performance are all in the good category; 2) compensation positively affects teacher performance, but when managerial competence is considered as a moderating variable, it weakens this effect; 3) infrastructure positively impacts teacher performance, with the principal's managerial competence further strengthening this effect; 4) work discipline positively influences teacher performance, with the principal's managerial competence amplifying this effect; and 5) managerial competence has a negative effect on teacher performance.
