Abstract

East Flores Regency, Ile Boleng District, especially in Gayak Village, has abundant natural wealth, so that the local community is able to produce various high-quality local crafts with a large selling value. The handicraft products produced include woven fabrics, clothes, shawls, and others. However, the people of Gayak Village face obstacles in marketing their weaving crafts because they still rely on conventional promotional methods. In addition, sales through social media also have limitations, such as stock updates that are still done manually and record sales history that has not been digitized. This research aims to design an E-Commerce information system to help overcome the limitations of promotional media in local handicraft sales methods and increase efficiency in updating stock of goods so that it is no longer done manually in sales methods through social media and improve services to customers. The solution offered is the implementation of an e-commerce system specifically designed to meet the marketing needs of local crafts, allowing sellers to market products directly to consumers without going through intermediaries. Thus, this system is expected to expand the sales reach. This study uses the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method with the Waterfall model approach, which includes stages such as needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, direct observations in the field, and testing of the system that had been created. The implementation of this E-Commerce system has the potential to expand sales access for artisans, allowing them to market their products at more competitive prices and reach a wider range of consumers. In addition, this system aims to make local craft sales more efficient and keep stock safer.
