Abstract

The main problem in this study is the implementation of learning and its effect on students mathematics learning achievement by using a portofolio based learning model. This study aims to determine the implementation of portofolio based learning models on students mathematics learning achievement on the subject of relations and functions academic year2019/2020.The type of research used is quantitative research with experimental design methods. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and parametric statistics using the help of the SPSS 22 program. This research wasconducted in SMP St. Ignasius Fahiluka with a population of VIII grade as many as4. Sample classes of this study were VIII C classes totaling 22 people who are randomly selected from the populationwith simple ramdom sampling. Instrument in this research namely observation and learning achievement texts in the form of essay as many as4item.Based on the results of observations and achievement indicators obtained student achievement is classified as very good. The T-test results showed that the tcount=14,065>ttable= 2,080 with a significance level of 5% which means that H0was rejected and Hawas accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the portofolio-based learning model on mathematics learning achievement in juniorhigh schoolstudent.
