Abstract

The purpose of this study is 1) To find out the picture of the process of weaving fabric production in the ikat craft business of Alor and Ina Ndao villages in Kupang City, 2) To find out the comparison of capital, labor in the management of handicrafts, production results between the ikat woven cloth of Alor village and Ina ndao in Kupang City, 3) To find out the comparative income in managing handicrafts, the production results between the ikat weaving of Alor and Ina Ndao villages in Kupang City. The analytical tool used to find out the description of the production process in Weaving Ikat handicraft namely Descriptive Analysis is an analysis used to analyze data by describing or describing data that has been collected as it is without intending to make conclusions that are applicable to the public or generalizations such as production processes, capital, the number of workers, production output, production value, income. Researchers used Primary data obtained from interviews, documentation results and observations definitions, data taken from 2016-2018. Primary data in this study are the production process, capital, the amount of labor, production results, production value, income. Researchers in Alor Weaving Village and Ia Ina Ndao Weaving have similarities in production equipment, namely traditional weaving means that the production process has the same process in the two tie weaving and based on the results of research conducted by researchers at Alor Weaving Village and Ia Ina Ndao Weaving, seen with it is clear that the amount of initial capital is very influential on the value of production, so there is a significant comparison of production value between the two ikat businesses, Comparison between the workers of Kampung TenunAlor and Ikat Ina Ndao which is quite significant where the workforce of Kampung Alun Weaving is 10 people and Ina Ndao Weaving Ikat workforce numbered 31 people is very influential on the value of production, production results in 2018 have a significant amount of production compared to the previous two years, both ikat weaving businesses run by the two craftsmen can be seen that revenue in 2018 has a value significant compared to the previous two years.
